It's Monday morning (again). You look at the clock in the kitchen and swallow a cup of coffee while trying to put on your clothes at the same time and realize that you have only 5 minutes to get your 5 years wearing and ready for school, not to mention you still need to pack his lunch. Quickly enough to remember that you were warned last Thursday by coach quiet (no!) being late on the third day in a row.
His all-too familiar? Hey, no one said being a mom would be easy work, but here are 5 steps to help you achieve this delicate balance on Monday morning:
- First and foremost, be prepared. If necessary, pack lunch your child the night before. Give your child a bathroom the night before as well. Do laundry and ironing your weekend so that all the clothes are hung up and ready to go, and the preparation of not less than five per clothes member of the family on the weekend you and your spouse and your children help you in the process.
- Set your alarm clock 10-15 minutes earlier to allow you more time in the morning. If necessary, go to bed earlier 10-15 minutes to compensate for the time difference. Wake up before your kids to shower and get dressed.
- Keep breakfast simple and healthy. If you feel you do not have time for breakfast, try to keep bananas (and other easy to eat fruit) and vitamin-enriched cereal bars on hand and ready to take over and it's gone.
- Create a routine for you and your family and stick with it. Our bodies need routine and this is a fact. Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. Sticking to a schedule, it will be easier to effectively manage this morning Monday balancing act.
- The division of the day into several stages. For example, Stage 1: breakfast, Phase 2: get dressed, and so determine the stages in 15-30 minutes (phase increases increases the time can vary depending on the amount of time you specify). Will try to accomplish everything at one time only lead to chaos and confusion. Help your family stay at the appropriate stage and also ask them to hand. Encourage your family stick stages of the morning so that everything runs smoothly.
The key to achieving balance, especially on Monday morning that the balance is being prepared. Try a more structured approach to Monday morning and you'll see your it looks smoother and less stressful for everyone.
