8 tips for saving energy

Our environment and deplete our resources suffer because we use a lot of everything. Did you know that small steps to save our environment can also help you save money? If you follow one or all of the following tips, you can actually see real savings on your energy bill. You do not need to do anything, but you can do something.
Housing model in the United States, hardware and electronics account for about 20% of the energy consumption. The first step is to look for the Energy Star label when purchasing equipment and products. Energy Star labels are strict guidelines established by the Department of Energy of the U.S. Agency for environmental efficiency. Follow these tips to help make a better environment for future generations and save money at the same time.

Lamps: energy saving lamps use bulbs (CFLs) instead of incandescent bulbs. Although costs 3-5 times more than incandescent bulbs, light bulbs use only a quarter of the electricity and lasts for many years. Each CFL bulb contains 5 mg of mercury so it will be an additional element to sort in the recycling bin.

Dishes: Never load dishes in your dishwasher only when full load. Dishes air dry instead of using a dryer.

Washing: Wash clothes in cold or warm water instead of hot water when you can. Instead of using a dryer and air dry or cut your clothes on the clothes line. Do not use the dryer unless with the full load.

Refrigerators: Think about what you want out before opening the fridge. And left the door open waste extra energy.

Wash and less Bathrooms: showers instead of baths will reduce water consumption and reduce heating bills.

Stop all devices are not used: Turn off all lights, computers and electronics when not in use. Dam all your electronic devices such as computers, televisions, DVD segments to power. Can be used to supply the electricity sector used to reduce electrical appliances. Even when turned off your appliances, power is always consumed from the outlet. To avoid the additional costs of energy, unplug the device or use of energy. The energy sector has a stop button to cut off all power devices.

Windows and doors weather strip: Check windows and doors for air leaks. Can be closed by an air leak or a sealing dam. Securing the leaks in your home will be kept hot and cold air in your home for a longer period. And less heating and cooling will help you save on energy costs.

Find Energy Star label: labels are given only when Energy Star appliances and products that meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency of the environment.
